Joe Rogan is an American comedian, actor, sports commentator, and television host. In the 1990s, he signed a contract with Disney and appeared in several television shows. In the 2000s, he hosted the famous show Fear Factor. In 2009, he launched his own program called The Joe Rogan Experience, which became one of the most popular podcasts by 2015. In a recent broadcast, Rogan discussed alien abduction stories with fellow comedian Matt Rife.
According to Rogan, these abductions always occur at night when people are asleep: “Most of the stories I’ve ever heard are people in their bed – they can’t move… or they’re in a car, the car stops, they wake up – aliens abducted them.”
It’s worth mentioning that in an REMspace experiment, 114 volunteers intentionally arranged encounters with aliens in lucid dreams. Such “abductions” often occur in other phase states as well, such as sleep paralysis. Many similar UFO stories might not be fabrications; people simply might not have recognized the phase state.
However, according to the Daily Mail, Rogan associates flying saucer accounts not only with sleep but also with psychedelics. As the podcaster claims, during sleep, the brain produces psychedelic chemicals that affect emotions, alter thinking, and can induce hallucinations: “You’re lying in bed, and you’re having an insanely vivid and terrifying interaction with aliens every night – because your brain is just dumping psychedelics into you.”
What is the most fantastic adventure you’ve had in the phase state?
