A near-death experience may be one of the phase states if a person experiences “adventures” while unconscious. For example, they might see angels, visit a paradise garden, or fly through a tunnel towards light (one such scenario was recreated by lucid dreamers in an experiment conducted by REMspace). American researcher Robert King divided these experiences into two types:
1. Near-death experiences. These involve leaving the body or at least becoming aware of the absence of a physical body.
2. Alternative life experience. In these experiences, the person enters an alternative world where other people live and events follow each other sequentially, although time may flow at an unnatural speed. In this parallel world, the person completely loses touch with reality but perceives the surrounding space as real, even after returning. Incidentally, according to one’s subjective feelings, a person can spend several years in a parallel world.
The author adds that it is worth studying the similarity of alternative life experiences to lucid dreams.
Have you ever felt like you returned from a period of years spent in an alternative life?
