In the summer of 2021, the first permanent laboratory for the study of phase states (lucid dreams, sleep paralysis, out-of-body experience, etc.) will open in the south of Russia. The laboratory is looking people who are personally familiar with these phenomena: on average, about two participants a night.
Two categories of people are currently being sought out:
1. Experienced practitioners who are:
– able to experience phase states at least 50% of all nights (while performing pre-set tasks);
– stress-resistant (it is much easier to practice at home than under the pressure of obligations, in an unusual place, with equipment: not everyone is able to fall asleep in such conditions);
– able to periodically leave home for a week up to a month.
2. Narcoleptic patients, i.e. people with a rare, serious (often genetic) disease called “narcolepsy.” Such people are prone to sudden, abrupt onset of sleep, and often experience sleep paralysis.
For most practitioners, the work will be carried out in the form of short-term visits: participants will come to the laboratory for one or two weeks (up to a month), take part in the research at night, and enjoy complete freedom during the day. Testing of applicants began in May and will continue throughout the summer.
