The psychological thriller Behind Her Eyes has been available since February 17, 2021 and has already entered the top ten of Netflix productions this year. The six-episode story is based on a novel of the same name by Sarah Pinborough.
Let us briefly recall the plot revolving around a bizarre love triangle. Louise, a single mother, begins an affair with David, a psychiatrist and her new boss. The situation becomes more complicated when Louise starts to form a friendship with David’s wife, Adele. Helping Louise cope with nightmares Adele leads her toward lucid dreaming.
Louise begins to learn more about the practice from the diary of a certain Rob. As an exercise, he recommends what amounts to a reality check technique: once an hour you need to pinch yourself, say “I’m awake,” count the fingers on your hands, look at the clock, and imagine the door. Yet, as she plunges into the world of lucid dreams, Louise starts to lose her grip on her real life.
According to the online newspaper Open Sky News, fans expect the second season to be released by the end of 2022, with the return of the entire cast of actors. However, no official announcement on the topic has been made yet. The series’ creators do not feel the need to make a second season, yet the audience demands a continuation.
The possible content of the second season remains a mystery since the first one covered the entire book, so the screenwriters will have to come up with their own continuation of the story with new plot twists. There is no official trailer at the moment, however, if predictions are correct, it can be expected in the fall of 2022.
