Scientific conferences aren’t just about boring presentations—they’re also places to develop practical skills. For example, Xian Prem from the USA discussed how to use lucid dreaming for exploring parallel realities, suggesting viewing one’s dreams as visits to other worlds and explaining how such narratives influence the psyche and life. Special attention was given to how lucid dreamers’ perceptions of themselves and their place in the world change. Furthermore, participants shared their dreams and practiced breathing exercises for concentration.

Moreover, Nisha and Norma Burton, a mother and daughter from the USA, led a seminar on how to find one’s purpose using lucid dreams, combining ancient knowledge with modern approaches. They shared techniques that help in asking questions about life’s purpose in dreams, interpreting symbols, and transferring the gained knowledge into reality. The seminar included practical exercises on lucid dream induction.

PasQuale Ourtane-Krul from the Netherlands presented his method for achieving goals in lucid dreams, emphasizing that simply attaining lucidity within a dream doesn’t guarantee that you will achieve what you want. He offered a step-by-step approach to setting and achieving goals in dreams and showed how to correctly formulate an intention to successfully realize your goals within dreams.

Which seminar would you attend?

The seminars were held in June 2025 at the 42nd Annual Conference of the International Association for the Study of Dreams.
