The life of American woman, Maria Cuccia, was quite ordinary until one night in 1992, when something extraordinary happened to her. She suddenly woke up around 3 a.m. and felt a strange energy entering her body. She felt like she was being transported by a beam of light from her bed to something resembling a spacecraft. She found herself surrounded by non-human entities in hooded cloaks who showed her a group of children through a window. One of the boys looked at her and waved. She immediately felt a connection with this child, and the aliens communicated to her that this was her son named Elijah.

Maria shared this story as a guest on the popular radio show Coast to Coast AM with host George Noory. She recalled that the boy had very long, slender arms, but otherwise looked human. Maria considers her abduction a physical and medical violation, but is unsure about the true nature of this experience.

Nevertheless, she decided to direct her energy toward composing music for healing and meditation. Later, Maria met with the aliens again under hypnosis, and they confirmed that she should write music.

Her memories of her son from the spacecraft were published in several books, including Alien Rock (where she was one of the protagonists who shared the otherworldly experiences that influenced their music) and Turning Point Moments (where Maria wrote one of the chapters). Currently, she is working on her own memoirs.

Interestingly, stories similar to Maria’s often begin in the bedroom. In one of the experiments conducted by the Phase Research Center, 114 volunteers intentionally arranged to meet with aliens in a lucid dream. Similar phenomena also often occur in another phase state—sleep paralysis. It is quite possible that many stories of “abductions” are not made up—they are instances of people experiencing a phase state without recognizing it.
