In the fall of 2023, the ambitious startup Prophetic promised to create a device for inducing lucid dreams that would operate based on artificial intelligence similar to ChatGPT. As reported by The Sun, there is currently no evidence that the gadget works, but its creators have started sales: anyone interested in trying the device can make a deposit.

The gadget, which resembles a headband or hoop, is called Halo. According to its creators, this neurotechnological device activates natural lucid dreams using a focused ultrasound that generates 3D space pulse controls, as well as fMRI training data and EEG sensors. All of this should help determine when a person enters the rapid eye movement (REM) sleep phase and induce and stabilize lucidity.

No scientific studies in peer-reviewed journals have been presented yet. However, the gadget’s creators have a specific plan: research will be completed by spring 2024, the reliable operation of the device will be confirmed by winter 2024, and active sales will start by winter 2025. The announced price is $2,000.
